jaapv Posted April 28, 2008 Share #1 Posted April 28, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) First a handgrip I found on e-bay. Brand: Samigon. Beautifully made, with a grotty cable release. (which is why it is not shown here) The Kabel-C by Novoflex needed only minor alterations- just a hole tapped to M4 and a dollop of Superglue- to be a perfect fit. It increased the handholdability of the combo by at least two stops And then I managed to fit my Tele-Elmar 4.0-135 on the DMR with the use of OTZFO and the Cameraquest Visolens/R ring. Spot-on for focussing, and this is arguably a better lens that the 2.8/135 R, close to the APO's - though the combo looks a bit funny. I'll post results after the weekend... jaapv Posted April 29, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted April 29, 2008 I'm very pleased with the 135/4.0 on the M8. It is supposed to be the better lens than the 2.8. I find the files of the DMR (even) a bit better than the M8 and want to see how it performs. If it is good, I have a lens that will be functional in both systems, which is an advantage for my travels in Africa, where I use both kits side by side, but also have an interest in stripping down as much as possible, without losing redundancy. garyp Posted April 29, 2008 Share #5 Posted April 29, 2008 How would it handle with the handgrip under the lens? A lens, that big, on a body without support for the lens always makes me kinda jumpy.
