JC... I was just on the point to make the same post you made... GULP! Very tastely auction ! In a quick view I saw

- M3 prototype #0034

- IIIg "Swedish Crown" (surely not related to the item that appeared on ebay...:D )

- IIIg "the FIRST MADE" : # 825.001

- Summitar "star*" !!!

- Summicron 50 "2 knobs" !!!

- Summarex BLACK !!

- Summicron 90 SM-Wetzlar-SOOZI !!!

- M2-M with New York Motor !!

- M4 "Canada" !!

- Stemar in BM !

Pity my name isn't Berlusconi...:p

And also from a quick look, I see that the auctioneers do not try artificious heatings: an M4-2 GOLD has a base price of 800 Euros... (there is also for sale a terrible Alpa Gold) and a fine Leica 250 is clearly stated as a fake, base price 1500 Euros (if it works, and is based on an original LTM body it's indeed a serious fake to make...).

Interesting collateral for sale: a sort of book with various tech drawings of old Leitz lenses.. at a reasonable price...

Wow! always fascinating to see. There is a Steinheil Quinon too, my favourite.

How can I track this auction? How do I find out if an item is sold?

In the site of Westlicht you can find all the details regarding partecipating, rules of bidding etc... after the auction (some days after) in the site you can find all the prices at which the lots went sold; you can also , in their site, look at the prices of previous auctions (btw, I'm a rather good customer of Leicashop of Wien, same people of Westlicht auction, and they are so kind to send me reagularly a paper copy of the auctions' catalog... nice small book with photos... maybe also to become a collectible in 20 or 30 years...:D )

Luigi,

I have seen two 750 view custom made

(they belonged to a couple of photographs working in Megeve, they use them for taking pictures from people skiing, the large magazines and knobs helps their handling with large gloves, all the day long)

Really 750 ? not "trivial" 250s ? A monster... how hell big were the spools' receptacles ? Didn't you try to buy one ?;)

750... it's... 30 meters of film... maybe there was a Contarex accessory for such a length...

Luigi,

This was in 1970, and the owner, a Leica agent has just acquired them from the photographers, if I remember well the magazines were about 3 inches in diameter,

the silver chrome was almost worn and the brass was red/brown in some place.

I think that the conversions were made in Switzerland.
