Annibale G. Posted April 5, 2008 Share #1 Posted April 5, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I can't find the Lithium 3 Volts DL 1/3 N batteries for my M7. A shop suggest me to put inside, instead of two of 3 Volts , four of 1,5 Volts. Is it possible? Dangerous? What do you suggest? Annibale

Annibale G. Posted April 5, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted April 5, 2008 oh well thanks . The problem is that I have inside the good ones but I'm leaving on Monday and I'd like to buy some spare ones. I bought 4 Silver 1,55 Volts ; Will them cause damage or problem to my camera if I need them? Thanks awfully. Annibale
kdemas Posted April 7, 2008 Share #4 Posted April 7, 2008 Yes, I have read you can use the 4. Not done it myself but I have seen repeatedly that others have. Kent
wizard Posted April 7, 2008 Share #5 Posted April 7, 2008 No problem to use four 1.55 V silver oxide cells instead of the two Lithium cells, but it is a little tricky to stuff those 4 cells into place. Andy

Andy Quite. I did it once. It's a bit like trying to feed pills to a cat. Regards, Bill

Several M7 users have reported less efficient contacts with that system to my Leica dealer. I did it once, had power cuts and never did it again. petercs Posted April 7, 2008 Share #8 Posted April 7, 2008 Quite. I did it once. It's a bit like trying to feed pills to a cat. Regards, Bill I feed pills to my cat by wrapping them into liver sausages I think I cannot recommend that for batteries meant for the M7.
