keywards Posted April 3, 2008 Share #1 Posted April 3, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am a very new subscriber and so please forgive me if this subject has been previously raised. I am aware that the Digilux-3 shoots RAW and JPEG together but is there a way to shoot only RAW files? I find it a nuisance to have both when I only require RAW. Sorry that I used the £ sign instead of the 3!
Advertisement Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Hi keywards, Take a look here Digilux-£ and RAW. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jdlaing Posted April 3, 2008 Share #2 Posted April 3, 2008 Unfortunately no. At the present the D-3 uses the JPEGs for the thumbnails and what you see on the LCD screen.
keywards Posted April 4, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted April 4, 2008 Hi, THanks, that what I thought. It is just that I read a review which implied that the camera would do RAW alone and, although I have read the manual throughly several times, I could not find that feature. Yo0u restore my sanity foir which I thank you!
jdlaing Posted April 4, 2008 Share #4 Posted April 4, 2008 When I transfer my files from the camera to the PC all I do is dump the jpeg files to save space and just work with the RAW. Maybe if enough people send comments to Leica it will get corrected in a future firmware update.
