Advertisement Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Hi gareth_c, Take a look here Lost in Monet's Garden. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted September 10, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 10, 2006 Gareth - I'm glad you got to the reopened L'Orangerie. #1 is superb, and one can almost perceive the man enjoing the work.
gareth_c Posted September 10, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted September 10, 2006 I don't get to see much art anymore, and when I do it tends to be more modern. But, this was fantastic and the gentleman seemed to be utterley taken in by it...he sat there for hours. I'm glad you like the photo. I did some colour manipulation in PS. I was originally shooting in Black and White but this seemed a waste of Monet's talent! In the end I went with a slightly unnatural tone to the shots which I think fits monet's work quite well !
