amateurdarts Posted September 10, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 10, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everybody, I’m French, and first, sorry for my bad English. I bought a D-lux 2 at the end of the last year. During last may, my camera fell down. The consequence is a repair by the Leica Company in Solms. They change the cover and the lens (270 euros). Now the problem is that i can not do focusing (manually or with auto-focus) in the infinity (and this in all focal distance especialy with x2 to x4 focal) I can not remember if i had the problem before the accident, but i think it is not normal. Is there somebody here who have the same problem ? Thanks for your help Regards

ECliffordSmith Posted September 12, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 12, 2006 Hi, I think you may be correct that there is still a problem with your camera. I have the D-LUX2 and while the AF can fail to lock on an infinity subject it usually does after a few attempts. If I set the focus manually I get the result I am after. What do the images turn out like with the focus set to infinity manually and the aperture kept small? Perhaps you could post a few examples? Many Thanks, Ed

ECliffordSmith Posted September 18, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 18, 2006 Arnaud, I think there is a problem with the camera there. It is very obvious with the telephoto setting I think. I would ask Leica to verify the problem. Thanks, Ed
