1)Does anybody know if there are any lens extras available for the d lux 3 model? like the zoom extender of anything else? If you check out item # 190204784931 on ebay, you'll know what im talking about, has anyone used or got it, or anything similar to this?

2) When shooting black and white images, is it better to shoot them with a black and white setting on right away or shoot a color image and then convert it in iPhoto or photoshop or something?

As far as I´ve seen, there is an accessory to mount it on a Leica spotting-scope (I´m half-planning to get it, since I already own the scope). Other than that, there doesn´t seem to be anything.

Far better to shoot as color, then convert. If you do so, you can change the tonal balance after the fact (it´s like having a "retroactive" set of filters...).

 

If you shoot RAW, you can set it to B/W and have the LCD screen show your view in B/W, while the raw file still holds all the color info (the attached jpeg is B/W).
