stuny Posted September 8, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 8, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) In the U.S. the bride and groom frequently ride white vintage hired Rolls limos from the church to the reception. When visiting the cathedral at Chartres with our dear friend Gerard we found a wedding party, and the bridal car, a vintage Citroen, shown here. To see more Chartres photos please go to the two Chartres photo galleries, listed under "France".

dhsimmonds Posted September 8, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 8, 2006 The classic 40´s/50´s french "gangsta lim" - good choice ! Hello Ron, That explains why the "Gendarmerie" also used them during that period! The "Light 15" as this car was known in the UK was considered a very good car for it's time with a "wheel at each corner" it's roadholding was legendary compared with the conventional leafsprung types around then. Cheers, Dave
rob_x2004 Posted September 8, 2006 Share #4 Posted September 8, 2006 When 'The Man' pulls you over in a Roller you have to say, "Sir, I used the indicators, you are clearly quite blind. I have half a mind to....", and you come across kind of pompus and aloof. When you drive one of these no one expects you to indicate, it's French. If you see brake lights he is being more considerate than you ever deserve. Style huh!
