delbecco Posted September 7, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) This subject has been addressed before, but I just wanted to clarify. Apparently the cold shoe from Voigtlander 45AD108A fits OK on the LX-1, but as the attached photo shows, with the shoe butted up against the mode dial it interferes with the flash cover on my DLux-2. The interference is minimal and I was able grind a little from edge of the shoe to clear. I use it with the Voigtlander 45DA431A 28-35 finder and find it very useful, particularly in conditions where the LCD is washed out by sunlight. Advertisement Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Hi delbecco, Take a look here Viewfinder for DLux-2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
peterb Posted September 8, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 8, 2006 Hmmm that's odd. I put one on Panasonic's LX1 and the accessory JUST clears both the mode dial and the flash. Are the top decks of the LX1 and the D Lux 2 machined slightly differently? I figured, aside from the roundness of the sides both cameras were dimensionally speaking as far as components go, identical. Peter

delbecco Posted September 8, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted September 8, 2006 I also assumed the LX-1 and DLux-2 were dimensionally identical (that's why I bought the cold shoe). However, In my case you saw the difference. By the way, I ground a semi-circular relief in the mode dial side of the shoe only to the height of the dial, so when the shoe is in place a small segment of the dial is hidden but my hack job doesn't show. I expect I have voided my warranty on the cold shoe.
sean_reid Posted September 8, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 8, 2006 I think the difference relates to the aftermarket shoes being used, some are a little bit wider than others. Cheers, Sean
