wparsonsgisnet Posted September 7, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently purchased a 24mm f2.8 asph lens and finder. As a result of my bidding on eBay, I received an email with an offer for a second set like this. I don't wish to violate any posting rules here, so if you think you have an interest in this item, please contact me offline and I will send you the information I received. This is not my item for sale, and I will only transfer information to you. tnx,
Advertisement Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Hi wparsonsgisnet, Take a look here Information about a lens available. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
philipotto Posted September 7, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2006 Thank you Bill for your kind offer. But, I would caution anyone who may take you up on it: fake second chance offers coming from a third party are fairly common on ebay. If you have not already done so, Go to http://www.ebay.com, sign in, and click My eBay. The Second Chance Offer email appears in My Messages. Legitimate Second Chance Offers are forwarded directly from eBay and appear in My Messages with a blue background and subject stating, “Second Chance Offer for Item…”. http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/personal-offer.html
wparsonsgisnet Posted September 7, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted September 7, 2006 Philip, Thanks for the caution. If I had not already won the lens I was bidding on, I would have explored this offer, but with great caution. The price is quite friendly, but my momma didn't raise no dummies. We do have to be careful out there. That said, I have had a very pleasing experience with eBay for almost 10 years. I have also had a good experience with PayPal until they wanted me to verify. I did verify just this week, but only after receiving excellent advice from Forum members about how to do it. And, I used my new status -- via credit card? -- to purchase the lens and finder that I won. This Forum is a lifesaver. Thanks again for the caution. I keep wondering what kind of life a person has who spends so much effort to do things that are no fun. Regards,
