JHAG Posted March 9, 2008 Share #21 Â Posted March 9, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks very much, Eoin. Usually, I don't use sharpness : only high pass in CS3 which is much more efficient, with no artefacts if used conservatively.
Advertisement Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Hi JHAG, Take a look here Aperture 2 & Lightroom...again. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
xrogers Posted March 9, 2008 Share #22 Â Posted March 9, 2008 I looked into an Aperture-capable video card for the G5 a year or so ago. There did exist a PCI-X Radeon card of some sort that some reported working, but those cards were being discontinued at the time, cost about $300, and were two-year-old technology then (it still won't perform with Aperture like any current video card). Â I agree with Eoin on CPU---even my old G5 (it was the original one) has plenty of CPU, but Aperture is one program that will get disproportionate benefit from a new computer because of graphics. If you're getting a new computer anytime soon, I can't see how it would be worth the time and cost to find one of these cards. Â Until later, Â --clyde
