spylaw4 Posted March 3, 2008 Share #3 Posted March 3, 2008 Isn't it a Fujeica?
DTD Posted March 3, 2008 Share #4 Posted March 3, 2008 Isn't it a Fujeica? It was. I was trying to think what this camera was the other day when I saw a Fuji F601.
miami91 Posted March 3, 2008 Share #5 Posted March 3, 2008 Was that the last of the Leica-Fuji collaboration? (ie, the camera previous to the Digilux 1). I know many question the decision to partner with Panasonic, but at least Leica was smart to return to "traditional" camera bodies with the Digilux line. I really don't like the styling of those Leica/Fuji cameras. Jeff.
cbretteville Posted March 3, 2008 Share #6 Posted March 3, 2008 Yes, the 4.3 was the third one Fuji and Leica collaborated on, released in 2000. The D1 succeeded it in 2002.

DTD Posted March 6, 2008 Share #9 Posted March 6, 2008 Fuji went on to produce the F601 which was the same form factor in a rounder Porsche designed body – I was quite taken with the looks.
skunkworks Posted March 9, 2008 Share #10 Posted March 9, 2008 I have one of these; it was my backup for vacation snaps while my D2 was in sensor replacement limbo. I use it as a web cam. Build quality is quite good, and it was among the smaller cameras available at the time. Under the right conditions (and considering it's low resolution) it was capable of taking some pretty good photos. I find it annoyingly difficult to use now, but at the time of purchase it was fun. I also have the close-up attachment setup which is built like it belongs on an optical bench, and the lens is lovely. (I have to confess I have a geeky glass fetish.)
