cboudier Posted June 28, 2006 Share #3 Posted June 28, 2006 Fred, I know how difficult it is to shoot these birds ! and it's even harder with a D2... Congratulation :-) Some of mine here : http://cboudier.free.fr/displayimage.php?album=58&pos=7 http://cboudier.free.fr/displayimage.php?album=97&pos=
telewatt Posted June 28, 2006 Share #4 Posted June 28, 2006 Hello Fred, exellent pictures!!!.........but your images are not corrected..look at the diagram for "tone-range" there are missing the shadows and highlights.....the correction needs 1 second.. fpbender Posted June 28, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted June 28, 2006 How did you do that? Awesome!!
stuny Posted June 28, 2006 Share #6 Posted June 28, 2006 Fred - I assume that you set the camera up on a tripod, preset everything, and then waited. And with Jan's corrections the photo becomes superb. Stuart
fpbender Posted June 29, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted June 29, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Stuart, You're correct about the waiting, but shot was hand held. How did Jan do the photo correction? It really made a difference. Thnks for the comments. Fred
telewatt Posted June 29, 2006 Share #8 Posted June 29, 2006 Hello Fred, sorry for beeing late, but I had to work a little bit.. open your picture in Photoshop...look under "picture"..."adjusts".. "Tonbalance-correction"..then you see this picture... go with the black triangle to the beginning of the "Black Hill"..and with the white one to the end of the "Hill"....the gray one in the middle is for correction of the brightness of the picture..ready! (now it should look like my version) all the best, Jan

wilyum Posted June 30, 2006 Share #10 Posted June 30, 2006 Very nice captures, Fred. I can sympathize, as I also am in the dark with Photoshop. I'm strictly a film person. Best wishes, Bill
