chris_wade Posted February 29, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 29, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Okay, I read the doom and gloom about sensor failure with the digilux 2 thinking this won't happen to me.....Sean at Camera West will take charge and send it in for me, no D3 for me either, I love my Digilux 2. I have a Leica D-Lux2 as my back up unit. Add me to the list! Chris Wade

leicahk Posted March 1, 2008 Share #4 Posted March 1, 2008 Hi Chris, I got my Digilux 2 back in February, it took three months too, but I live in New Zeland. Unfortunately manual focusing no longer works as it should, at a focal length of 28mm infinity the focusing ring has to be set at the 0.8 m position. I have already alerted the Leica factory, the camera will have to go back. Automatice focusing works perfectly after the repair. So I would check the camera very carefully. I do wonder whether others have the same defect without knowing about it!! henk
