Ruhayat Posted February 27, 2008 Share #1 Â Posted February 27, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well, I've heard that Leica doesn't read the newsgroups the way Ricoh does. But I just wanted to register my lone voice to say that if Leica ever come out with a digital Minilux, I would buy one sight unseen. And I'll get 5 of my friends to each buy one as well, the way I "turned" my friends to Apple. Â I've been playing with my Ricoh GR-Digital with the 40mm attachment this past week and I have to say I quite like the 40mm perspective. With Ricoh and Sigma already coming out with 28mm niche cameras -- and doing quite well, in the case of the GR-D -- I'd say there's an opportunity for Leica here with the Minilux D. It's about time they redeemed their pride and came out with innovative products rather than simply rebadged Panasonics, in my opinion.

rivi1969 Posted February 27, 2008 Share #2 Â Posted February 27, 2008 If it comes with a 40mm (in 35mm format) count me in. But this has been talked too many times and you are right, I don't think Leica cares about it. Â Cheers! Ricardo
davephoto Posted February 28, 2008 Share #3 Â Posted February 28, 2008 I would. But then again, I'm not sure it'd produce any better images than scans of film exposed from my minilux. Â Â Â Minilux. Still my all-time favorite 'compact' camera.

Symeon Posted March 14, 2008 Share #5 Â Posted March 14, 2008 Yes, great little camera. Helmut Newton used it too for snapshots! I miss my own which I sold more than 10 years ago.
