I still have not purchased the D-Lux 3, is it the right time or do u think they will bring out a D-Lux 4 soon? Also what is the difference between a D-Lux 3 and a Digiluxe 3? I might have asked this question before, but cannot find the answer. I need a small camera that I can carry in my pocket as I already have a Sony R1 and because of its size never want to carry it. rivi1969 Posted February 27, 2008 Share #2 Â Posted February 27, 2008 Hello, Â First I will tell you that the best time to get a camera is when you don't want to miss chances to take pictures, I don't know how many months will pass before Leica releases a D-Lux4 (if they do so) but I will know that you might miss a shot or two waiting for it. Â The D-Lux3 is a pocket camera with 10mp, the Digilux3 is a 7.5mp SLR much larger than your Sony so there is nothing in common between those 2 cameras but the red dot in front. Regarding which one delivers superior picture quality, well, both are very capable so it all depends on the eye of the photographer. Â Cheers! Nowadays it is that when you buy a piece ofm equipment, it seems already "old" before you leave the shop:confused: So if you want a Leica, buy iot nowe.
