tobey bilek Posted February 22, 2008 Share #1 Â Posted February 22, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) My copy of the USA Leica Historical Society Quarterly arrived yesterday. Interesting piece on the Viso 1 modified with a swing front standard. Â But what is really intersting is a R12 D is attached to the back of it. TWELVE is not a typo. What happened to 10 and 11? Â Supposedly there will be some announcements at Photokina about FF and 24 new lenses. 24 is not a typo either. My guess they are autofocus R lenses and maybe some for the Panasonic/Leica reflex whatever it is called. Can`t keep up anymore.

sdai Posted February 22, 2008 Share #2 Â Posted February 22, 2008 I've said that in the "any R10 beta testers?" thread, the new camera won't be called R10.

Why would you put a visoflex on the front of any camera, which is already a reflex, even in the unlikely event it would fit? Â Wilson

tobey bilek Posted February 23, 2008 Author Share #5 Â Posted February 23, 2008 Sorry. Should have said bellows one, not viso one. The camera has a front similar to the Nikon Canon fronts with a large clear vertical flat area under the pentaprism. Totally different than anything Leica has made. Â No I won`t post it as LHS has a copywrite on their publication.
stunsworth Posted February 23, 2008 Share #6 Â Posted February 23, 2008 No point in posting the pic, it's a Canon digital SLR that someone's Photoshopped the words Leica and R12 onto.

sdai Posted February 23, 2008 Share #8 Â Posted February 23, 2008 I could never understand why some person would add a Leica sticker on to a Canon camera, that's sick ... and this is in LHSA magazine? give me a break.

andybarton Posted February 23, 2008 Share #10 Â Posted February 23, 2008 I think it's great that there's clearly going to be an R12a too (otherwise, why the designation?) Â Film lives! Â
