The FE-Elmarit was designed and built for Leitz by Minolta in Japan. Some information is available on my website under "Leica highlights". A quite good lens, but obviously not a resolution champ as the typical Leica lenses. The Fisheye is intended for different artistic purposes. The Minolta version will only fit the old Minolta SR / SRT / X body mount. The Fish-eye Elmarit will of course fit a Leica R body.
