leicavirgin Posted September 3, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 3, 2006 I like what you have done here, it is real, surreal and seamless...a different take vs just a straight on photo.....
leicamann Posted September 4, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 4, 2006 Very nicely done..of course a little web image does not justice to this...you should get it printed out professionally. Thanks for sharing Marc:) Regards, Leicamann
marc_dufour Posted September 4, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted September 4, 2006 Susan, Thanks for kind comment. Really, there is yet some seam, but after a 4 hours PS session, I thought it was enough for the moment ;-) Surreal of the result, is to see two times the same individual in the picture... I couldn't avoid the people move... John, When she saw it, at night, my wife also aked for a big size print ! The final TIF weighs about 350 Mb (and the previous set with capes, about 1.5 Gb), a little heavy for the web :-) Thanks for looking and appreciation. Guest rubidium Posted September 4, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 4, 2006 To successfully stitch 7 frames of static landscape together is a challenge in itself. With people on the move involved it is a tour de force! A superb effort, from both artistic and technical points of view! Listen to the voice of reason (your wife) and have this on display in your home. It is certainly a work to be proud of, and a catalyst for many future conversations. marc_dufour Posted September 4, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted September 4, 2006 Jim, I use PS every day, in my work as a graphic designer, so, the result is overall a matter of patience. The biggest problem has been in the moment to take the pictures. I could have taken only 5 ones, it would have been enough to cover the 180º angle. But, with 7 ones, apart from a bigger surface for flap, I had more chances to get "complete" individuals for the subsequent stitch. Thanks a lot for so kind comments. Without any doubt, I shall pay attention to your advice and my wife's one ;-) Marc
