I hardly ever use it, but pulled it out of my bag to use it together with my film MP since my M8 is in Solms for repair. Then I noticed something strange. This bubble in the middle of the libelle has grown to twice the size and is quite useless as an instrument. What must have happened is that some of the fluid has escaped and more air must have gathered. Anyone here with similar problems? Up until lately, I was going to purchase a Frankie' but now that Leica is hinting at a new sensor, I'll stand fast and just dump my current funds into another lens, workflow, etc. Damn, this hobby is more addicting than the morphine I take for my condition. Regards, Bill There isn't any obvious way for the housing to come apart. There was also a few defects in the paint like the oil leaked out of the level and cause a problem with the paint. Now the camera is in for fixing of a red line. Now I have to send the Frankenfinder in for a leaky water pass. I am sitting here looking at the WATE. What could go wrong with that..? Mine turned up a line right in the middle of the picture, from the bottom and up to about the middle of the picture. What I have heard is that the M8 sensor actually is two sensors put together. To have my Frankenfinder returned to Solms to have this oil leak fixed. With a sigh. Since both my M8 and Noctilux are already there and won't be back for another 4 weeks or so. Then I am all analogue again. Digging up my MP I found the battery to be flat. - So, Interfoto/Farnes provided me with two CR1/31.H batteries for free. That I call service.
