Venkman Posted February 5, 2008 Share #1  Posted February 5, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) There is a very nice plug-in for the current set of browsers available, which can be used for browsing photos on social sites like Flickr and MySpace.  PicLens | Immersive Slideshows Across the Web  This can be used to pimp up your own gallery as well - just add some simple code to your webgallery/website and every shown picture will display a "play" button once you hover your mouse over it. After pressing the button, a very cool application starts full screen in your browser and provides and new and quite exciting way to browse photos.  I tested it with one of my private galleries and it is very easy.  Enjoy - Dirk

Venkman Posted February 5, 2008 Author Share #3  Posted February 5, 2008 Here it is: PicLens | Immersive Slideshows Across the Web  Use the publisher to chose a directory with photos and it does the rest. Result is a very basic gallery of photos and some directories and script files. The most important thing is to include some RSS code into the header and some javascript to show the play button - which is automatically included in the gallery page, so you can take it from there. And you only need to have one photo on the page, so it can be clicked - and take it from there to the full 3D view.  I must say that I really like the optics and will prepare a gallery with it later in the evening.
