stuny Posted September 2, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 2, 2006 Pete - Very nice, but this isn't the paddock, so what are the B and the C Type doing anywhere near it?
elansprint72 Posted September 2, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted September 2, 2006 Stu, The great thing about this sort of racing, is that there is a huge mix of abilities, budget, car development and, erm... other stuff! Whilst, on paper, the 275 should have been long gone, the B was probably at the upper end of it's development and if the driver totalled it, perhaps it would owe him 20k GBP, the C type driver was possibly a well-heeled Hooray Henry with more money than competence, so was driving beyond either of their natural limits and the 275 dude, despite his affluence had in the back of his mind a 500k GBP accident. Unfortunately there seems to be a trend, in the UK, of drivers of irreplacble cars going beyond all the limits of common sense and the result is smashed treasures. This does no favours to the shoe-string enthusiast who gets taken out by a new-money hooligan. Thanks, Pete.
