In the Palmwag section of Damaraland, Namibia, while tracking black rhino on foot, I saw these buds and these tiny flowers. You can see more of Palmwag on the third & fourth pages of Namibia photo galleries on our site.

Nice. I'm interested though, when one "tracks Black Rhino on foot", just what does one say when said Rhino, suddenly, meters away, appears?... "shoo, you smelly beast" comes to mind, or does one take the more civilized approach, and fill ones drawers? This is what I would like to know.

Henri & Peter P - Thank you.

Peter V - Thank you. fortunatley, we never had to use either smelly related approach. Our trackers were superb, bringing us downwind from the animals (found three), and coaching us well and quietly on our behavior so as not to attract the attention of these easily riled beasts.

Pedro - Thank you. We did meet three of them, and I've added an image of one below, as well as one of our trackers.
