eyedeebee Posted January 20, 2008 Share #1 Posted January 20, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Had a quick search of the forum, but didn't find much info on the above lens. It looks like good value at about £230 - does anyone have any experience - any views would be gratefully received.
Advertisement Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Hi eyedeebee, Take a look here CV 35/2.5 Color Skopar. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
captain Posted January 20, 2008 Share #2 Posted January 20, 2008 Good lens but you may want to wait a few weeks to see how the new Voigtlander 35mm f1.4 suits you and what price it will be going for.
earleygallery Posted January 20, 2008 Share #3 Posted January 20, 2008 Ian, The 2.5 is an excellent lens. I bought one partly on the recommendation of Sean Reid. It's light, compact, inexpensive and the results are superb. Yes I'd love a Summicron but the CV is hard to fault. The new 1.4 looks interesting, if you need the extra speed, but of course it will be much more expensive, I'm guessing around double the price? Here's a couple of shots with the 35. earleygallery Posted January 21, 2008 Share #6 Posted January 21, 2008 See here http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m8-forum/43566-cv-35-1-4-a.html With hood that works out about £400 (just putting 80K into Travelex currency converter although I expect the UK price will no doubt be nearer £500. But if you don't want/need the extra speed, the 2.5 is well worth a look.
