Have a look at this fabulous Bently: Bentley Motors: Bentley Motors Website

elansprint72 Posted January 17, 2008 Share #24 Posted January 17, 2008 Thanks Pete So that's british car again like Lotus seen previously . I dont't know if you can find Bentley now, i don't see it in France....may be in England ! You were not at Le Mans in 2003? I was. Spent some of the race in their pits but the tension was too much. Doc Henry Posted January 17, 2008 Author Share #25 Posted January 17, 2008 No Peter I am not at Le Mans in 2003 Thanks for the link . So Bentley wins at Le Mans race. I think that english cars are wellknown like german cars specially for sportive models. One mark gets his reputation if he wins race like le Mans or other wellknown race and it needs some patience and a long time before !

stuny Posted January 17, 2008 Share #28 Posted January 17, 2008 Pete - Regarding performance, one shoild never say "unfortunately" about a Lotus Elan. Of course reliability is a bit less stellar.
Guest flatfour Posted January 18, 2008 Share #29 Posted January 18, 2008 pete - Lotus Elans had incredible performance at that time. Dodgy doughnuts were a problem but I suspect they are better made now. I had one of my big frights in an Elan when I hit a patch of ice going round a bend and flew off the road through an open farm gate Phew !.

Tony, I binned my doughnuts for CVs a while back- drives like a proper car now. :D My big scare was in an Imp on a rally, 360 barrel roll, landed back on wheels and finished the event, first in class. That was the end of my competition career; far better to take the photos!
