Please help: Is it possible easily (Q3 43) to downgrade from the actual firmware version 4.0.0 to the previous version ? Any experiences ?

Who will test 4.0.0 for Leica if everyone rolls back to the previous stable version?😃

I think it would be possible to rollback, but the code would need to altered so a checkmark complies with the generation difference. Firmware is just code, The question is what language it is compiled in. Time to experiment this week.

I asked at the Leica store here in Los Angeles on Friday and they said it was not possible to downgrade from 4.0 to any previous versions.

Doc_P,  You might not like the answers, but Le Chef, Smogg and Cognito are correct.  I myself asked the same question years ago and a Leica Store staff, told me, I could, but I would have to buy another new camera with the previous firmware...    Version 4.0 just takes time to get use too, kinda like the latest Apple OS firmware that totally changed the system operations.  Happy Holidays!  r/  Mark
