Brings back a flood of childhood memories of Chicagoland in winter. Interestingly the 1955 Prudential was the first tall building constructed in Chicago since the 1930's and wasn't challenged in height until the Chicago Civic Center in 1965. In my photo, after the Prudential there were no other buildings in that line on East Randolph until the Standard Oil building (tallest in photo) in 1973. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
