Transfer profiles from Q3-43 to Q3

I’ve got my Q3 43 set up just as I like it and would like to share profiles with a newly acquired Q3. Unfortunately after copying profiles from the 43 to a freshly formatted SD card I get an “import failed” message 🫤

Any experience, thoughts, workarounds gratefully received!

Hello,

in the file "settings.lcs" the first line of the camera type shows "Q3 43".

You can edit this file so that the first line only contains "Q3".

Now it should work.

I successfully transferred the settings from my old Q3 to my current Q3 43 using this method.

Sequence if this helps, in Windows open the settings.lcs file with Notepad and amend the first line to read "Q3".  I imagine it will work in reverse from Q3 > Q3 43.

What a helpful place this forum can be.  It's saved me an hour or so + ensured that both.
