Is this a 3rd Cam lens with ROM?

Hello!

I'm all twisted around looking this lens that I just purchased. It was listed as a "Leica R 28mm F2.8 ROM", but I'm pretty sure it has the 3rd cam...but what is the silver-sloped cam next to that? This is what has me confused.

Has it been modified to add the ROM ? Will it work with the Leica R to L-mount adapter on an SL2-S? .

I'm pretty sure it won't work on the Leicaflex Standard or the Leicaflex SL/SL2, correct? What about the R-series cameras...only R8 and R9?
