Have the opportuntity to trade my M EV1 against Used M11

I have the opportunity to switch my camera bodies from M EV1 to M11 at the official Leica store - would you do it? it would be a direct exchange.

If true, more money than sense. Not uncommon when it comes to luxury toys.

I wouldn't despite the fact that I own an M11 and wouldn't consider an EV1.  A used M11 can be had for thousands less than a new M-EV1.  A demo M11-P, perhaps. A used M11, no.

Do they have an M EV1 or an M11?  Might be simple error (I have been known to write "A" when I was thinking "B").

Personally for modern lenses without focus shift I prefer the optical viewfinder. As mentioned above though, even if you feel you do I have a feeling your used EV1 is worth more than a used M11, I'd also be leaning toward a used M11P rather than a vanilla M11.

We all have our preferences.  I didn’t find any of these cameras of interest.  I preferred the Leica M11 Monochrom and a Hasselblad.  Nobody can tell you what you prefer.  My honest opinion is use what you have.  None of these cameras will make you a better photographer, but using any one of these will.
