We’ve completely revised our site, and it was out of necessity.

 A while back my desktop computer crashed.  Once I replaced it and reloaded the software allowing me to add text and edit existing text on our site, the Contribute function in Adobe Photoshop CS3, I found I could not open the application.  Adobe had retired the server controlling license keys.  Speaking with Adobe sales folks was not helpful – all they did was offer me several other applications that could not replace the functionality of Contribute.  The thought of rebuilding the site was daunting, and I let it slip.  That is, until the shareware I used to post photos closed shop, and I lost all the galleries.  I had the separate photos backed up on a desktop computer and on an external drive, so all I needed to do was to get off my butt and rebuild the site.

 A dear friend, and totally incredible person (Rebecca Rusch – Google her – You’ll be amazed) recommended the person who built her site: Debi Martin – there’s a link on our home page if you would like to contact Debi.  I gave Debi the visual design and functional specifications Barbara and I came up with, and Debi used WIX to build the framework.  Next came the months of the rebuild that I mostly did (Barbara did some, as well as corrected my copious typos and inaccuracies) on WIX.

 It’s essentially done now with about 345 photo galleries organized geographically, 64 sets of trip notes, and other things, too.  Barbara still needs to catch up with some trip notes, and I still need to add captions to about 35% of the galleries, as well as adding a few more galleries for New York City.  Below is an image of the home page, and the URL is www.barbara-and-stu.com.
