M9 doesn’t recognize SD cards after visit to Wetzlar

My M9 P just came back from Leica at Wetzlar where they solved a glitch and did a full service. Sadly it does not recognize the SD cards -tried with several-.  I can send it back… will eventually if I can’t solve the problem, but wondered if there’s something I might try first. Thanks in advance!

Check whether the contacts in the camera are clean ( sensor swab and a few drops of cleaning fluid) Carefully!

Try formatting the cards on your computer using software such as SD Card Formatter. If the camera still won't recognise cards it has used before then it may be a matter of returning it.

I have an M9 monochrom and an M10r and tried with cards from both. I didn’t have expectations with those from the 10r. Fast cards usually don’t work with the M9 reader. I will try to clean the contacts, just in case.

Cards that have been used in another camera and are switched without formatting using SD Formatter often fail.
