norbertnl Posted January 12, 2008 Share #1 Posted January 12, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone of you know if the Artisan & Artist Rina Case fits an M8 + Luigi half case with built-in grip + 'cron 28 with 'lux 35 shade? This combi happens to be my everday camera outfit, which I carry around all the time. When not taking pictures I put it in my backpack or, when cycling to my work, in an Ortlieb Office-Bag 2. In other words, the camera needs some additional protection while sitting in the bag. Any experience-based answer would be greatly appreciated. Advertisement Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Hi norbertnl, Take a look here Artisan & Artist Rina Case. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Arif Posted January 12, 2008 Share #2 Posted January 12, 2008 I am not aware of the Rina but the ACAM 7100 definitely holds all of these plus more. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m8-forum/24846-artisan-artist-acam-7100-mini-review.html
peter_n Posted January 12, 2008 Share #3 Posted January 12, 2008 I doubt it Norbert. It comfortably fits my MP with 35/1.4 ASPH + 3rd. party small shade. If I put the Leica shade on the lens it wouldn't fit...
Tony C. Posted January 12, 2008 Share #4 Posted January 12, 2008 I second Arif's suggestion: the Oskar day bag. I have one, and it holds my M8 with a Noctilux attached, (v4) 35 'cron w/hood, 24mm Elmarit w/hood, charger, filters, etc. It's a really well designed bag. Regards, Tony C. norbertnl Posted January 12, 2008 Author Share #5 Posted January 12, 2008 Thank you all for your input, you've been helpful to me! I suspected that the Rina was too small but couldn't tell from the pictures alone. Pity, because it looks very nice. The ACAM looks nice too, thought I don't think I need it. I already own a black Billingham for Leica, which for me is the bag to bring 1 body and 3 lenses with necessities (table tripod, spare accu, something to write etc.). For the everyday 'one camera one lens' solution I still have a small Zing SLR cover, which also works fine. Best, Norbert
carstenw Posted January 12, 2008 Share #6 Posted January 12, 2008 Also look at the ACAM 7200, mentioned in my ACAM 7100 review. It is smaller. Here is the current link: Artisan&Artist GCAM-7200 It also comes in a cloth version (GCAM models have a leather flap), in several interesting colours Artisan&Artist ACAM-7200 Check the outside and inside dimensions in the table near the end. RMF Posted January 13, 2008 Share #7 Posted January 13, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Here you are some pics of an A&A Rina case with an M8 and 35 cron w/factory hood. Sorry I don't have a 28 cron. With the 35 cron on there still a bit of space both in height and width available. Hope this helps. BTW- I also have an A&A GCAM 7200 and an A&A Evans Walker...both are fantastic bags. Welcome, dear visitor! norbertnl Posted January 13, 2008 Author Share #8 Posted January 13, 2008 Carsten, the cloth version looks pretty cute, provided that you choose for the right colour! Rod, when photographed in tungsten light the Rina bag would forman an ideal magenta test chart . Thanks for the pictures! Best, Norbert
geoff Posted January 13, 2008 Share #9 Posted January 13, 2008 Does anyone of you know if the Artisan & Artist Rina Case fits an M8 + Luigi half case with built-in grip + 'cron 28 with 'lux 35 shade? Norbert, Simply do a measurement. The Rina Case is 170mm long x 115mm tall x 110mm wide. This is enough room to fit a M8 with a mounted 75mm Summicron-M. The Luigi half case with built-in grip does not play into the picture, as it really adds little to the original M8 dimensions. It's the depth of the M8 with a mounted 28mm Summicron-M and attached 35mm lens hood that matters. I do not have the exact length for the 35mm Summilux-M Lens Hood (#11874), but if it is the same or less than the depth of an M8, which is 36.9mm, then you should have more than enough room. 36.9mm - M8 depth 40.8mm - 28mm Summicron-M length 36.9mm or less - 35mm Summilux-M Lens Hood (#11874) 114.6mm - Total Geoff MySpace.com - g e o f f - 100 - Männlich - PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA - www.myspace.com/geoffotos
