andreas77 Posted 9 hours ago Share #1 Posted 9 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I don't like the original lens cap for the Summicron-C 40mm, so I would like to use an alternative. I bought this universal 39mm cap, but my OCD isn't entirely happy with it. It should be more appropriate somehow... What do you use for this lens? I've already considered looking for some kind of cap, something you can slip over it... It should be 45 mm in diameter, but I haven't found anything suitable yet. Thanks in advance for your advice! Advertisement Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Hi andreas77, Take a look here Which (non-original) lens cap for Summicron-C 40mm?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Stef63 Posted 3 hours ago Share #2 Posted 3 hours ago If you want a clip-on (similar to your white-label cap), the Leica 14038 is the one that will work on the C40. BTW, it’s not OCD — it’s CDO… the same thing, just in the correct alphabetical order, where it obviously belongs. 😄
