Marcel Samek Posted September 19 Share #1 Posted September 19 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have found information on the pots in the SL and how to use them to adjust the meter. However, my SL2 has more pots than are documented for the SL. 1) Could someone please pass along any information you have on the function of each of the pots. 2) Likewise, if you have any information on using the pots to calibrate the meter and how the procedure differs from the available information for the SL, that would also be appreciated. Thanks!

wagner Posted September 22 Share #2 Posted September 22 Hi Marcel! Here we go: Pots from left to right: LV(light value)5/LV7/LV15/LV12 and then a "test" button LV 5 = 1/1sec.- f5.6 LV7 = 1/15sec.- f2,8 LV12 = 1/125sec.-f5,6 LV15 = 1/250sec.-f11 On the SL there are only 2 pots to adjust: LV7 and LV15 Hope that helps. Marcel Samek Posted September 22 Author Share #3 Posted September 22 Hi Torsten, This is extremely helpful. Thank you very much! Is there a recommended order on how to iterate on these (e.g. start with the low LVs and work your way up, or do the low, then the high, and then adjust the middle?) Best regards, Marcel
wagner Posted September 23 Share #4 Posted September 23 (edited) Morning Marcel! At first, I'm sorry, but I mixed it up: The pot direction (from the top/left) is: LV 5/7/15/12 and the pot for the battery test. From the front, the first pot from the left will be the one for the "battery test". Well according to my notes, here the order for the adjustment: LV7/LV5/LV12/LV15 and the "battery test" pot. Marcel Samek Posted September 23 Author Share #5 Posted September 23 Hi Torsten, Aha! I started in on this last night and ended up thinking I had a more serious issue since things were not at all reacting as I expected. Now I understand why. I will give this a try tonight. From looking at the LV/shutter/aperture numbers in the first message, I am assuming that the ASA setting should be 100 for all the adjustments. Is that right? Thanks much! Marcel Samek Posted Friday at 11:53 PM Author Share #7 Posted Friday at 11:53 PM Advertisement (gone after registration) That worked brilliantly. Thanks Torsten! With a 357 silver oxide cell I am getting very good results across the full range compared to my reference meter.
