The M10M is a superb camera. I’ve had a year solid shooting with it and sold my 10P thinking I would use the Q2 for colour.

it didn’t work out for me and I sold the Q2 last month and got an M11-D. The only minor inconvenience is the battery life really on the 10. It’s taken a bit of time to get used to the exposure system on the 11…. Still underexposing when it isn’t needed any more 😂😂😂😂

Mostly agree with you here........I had M10's, M10-R / M10-M / M10-P, then piece by piece I sold them all and got the M11-D and the M11-M..........With the 11's I really appreciate the better battery set-up and life plus the USB-3 charging too anywhere I need it, the choices of resolution also I appreciate because I prefer the lower setting to the higher two, however it's the M11-D that goes out all the time and I have hardly used the M11-M because the way I have come to set up the M11-D is to have DNG & Jpegs recorded simultaneously with the Jpegs set to Monochrome high quality.......This works very well for me, and I still get excellent A1 prints from the Jpeg files.........Plus to my mind in the hand the M11-D is by far the best digital M to date, bar none.

Loath to let the M11-M go, and perhaps logically I should do that even though looking for logic in my Leica M camera purchasing has always been a waste of time. I do have the Q2-M too, so not a great monochrome loss if I let the M11-M go...and anyway most of my monochrome work now is in film anyway.

However, as sensible a move that would be, I wouldn't be at all surprised if a year on from now the M11-M will still be with me, one cannot expect to be too sensible in all of this.

same here, @newtoleica - i am underexposing way too frequently as afraid i am to blow out those highlights, though i had set my m11d's metering to highlight-weighted from day one.

now the consequence is that i need to pull those low pixels out from their darkness and with that also enhance that relative RGB-noise i complain so much about at other places...

Additional:

I very much like my Visoflex (the round one), is there a reason to get the newer square one?

yes, it includes some electronic stabilization on the M11 series.

And the round one was spawned in hell…. The rubber leaches sticky fluid and disintegrates and if you’re really lucky the whole thing will implode spontaneously whilst sitting in a cupboard (mine did).
