Hi to everyone.

I decided to ask first here, because the closest Leica service is quite far away at the moment - and I am not willing to send it and be without it weeks because of that.

A Few months ago I bought Q3 43 and shortly after it had something in EVF. I did't carry it in any dust environments and it feels strange to me. It is a bit distracting but not too much. I am not  even sure how it could came in - my assumption is that it was there beforehand... Did anyone had similar experience? The only thing that happened to camera it was one day that it felt from 20cm on the wooden floor, but I cant see those two things related. Never had any similar problems with my SL2 & SL3 bodies and they have been through much more harsh situations than Q3 43

Thanks.

Hi. I had a similar experience when I first got my SL2-S in 2021. Small dust residue inside the EVF. I got quite excited, got organised with Leica to return the camera and it just disappeared of its own accord so I canceled the return. Others have experienced this too. Unless it really bothers you I would leave it for a while to see if it disappears. A drop to the floor may have been enough to dislodge whatever it was.

Four years later I now also have a Q3 43 and SL3 cameras, has not re-occured (and I had the SL2-S for 4 years, never had the problem again)

Same situation for my Q2 that I bought used and it had a small speck in EVF. It was out of warranty, but I sent it to Leica and they cleaned it free of cost. It helps that Leica USA is within driving distance from me.
