o2mpx Posted September 10 Share #1 Posted September 10 Advertisement (gone after registration) Seems to be a great 1 lens travel option. Prelim reviews seem to indicate decent IQ out to corners at mid apertures.

But hard to tell, without using the two, side-by-side. The focal length range 60-200mm (on the Sigma) is quite substantial, but also focal lengths I rarely miss when on travels. Combine with Leica Sl2-s or SL3s high ISO performance, it will be perfect for travel or act as a back up to Leica L lens
Archiver Posted September 10 Share #4 Posted September 10 (edited) If the image quality is up to scratch, I'd even use it for sports reportage in daylight events. 20-200 is a fantastically versatile focal length range, you could capture teams or group shots after a game, runners on a track, many things. Pair it with a 100-400 on a m43 body and you have everything for track and field or oval sports like football or soccer. As for travel, I'm with @helged in that I'd probably prefer the Pana 24-60, as that is f2.8 and better for lower light conditions. As good as SL2S high ISO performance is, I also prefer the depth of field control that a constant f2.8 lens offers. keeping_a_balance Posted September 10 Share #5 Posted September 10 I can definitely see this as a great lens for daytime travel. If carrying a camera in the evening would then slap on a small prime and be done. Reviews so far seem to be quite good regarding IQ and the range is so versatile all in a ~500g package... insane...
