August marks ten years with the same Leica S(006) in my stable.  Other than one trip to Germany in 2016 for a sensor replacement the camera has never missed a beat.  Over the years I have purchased other cameras, and the S is no longer my "everyday" camera as it heavy (with a couple of additional lenses) for just walking around.  But anytime the weather is foul or the snow is falling the S is my camera of choice.  On nice days I still take "her" out for a walk now and then and the results are always outstanding.  It is also one of my favorite studio cameras because of the great viewfinder when working in a dark studio.

Below are a couple of images from this August.

Not to ramble on too much but I just wanted to sing a few praises for the now discontinued S.

New to S and I love it so far. Thanks for sharing! I started to buy S006 but it was dodgy sadly so I settled for an S007 with 2 years of warranty from Leica. I also have access to an S006 should I feel the need. Both outstanding in their own ways.

Congratulations! I just took my 006 out to a lowrider car show today, and it performed flawlessly. Stay tuned for another "Wheels and the City" posting soon.

Anyway, the corroded sensor issues behind us, the 6 should hold up for quite a while longer and deliver those gorgeous colors. I also have the 007, but that's for completely different types of shoots.
