I am in the market for the best camera for photography. I want to use some advice before pulling the trigger. My main priorities are image quality, reliability, and timeless design. Ideally, I want a camera that delivers gorgeous, character-rich images and should perfect for street, portrait, and daily shooting.

After reading expert reviews from trusted sources like TechRadar, Trusted Reviews, and Fstoppers, two Leica models consistently stand out as exceptional:

https://www.amazon.com/Leica-SL3-S-Mirrorless-Camera-24-70mm/dp/B0FNLPJ37W?th=1

It is built for the modern photographer, the SL3 boasts a 60 MP triple-resolution sensor (60/36/18 MP), fast autofocus, in-body image stabilization, and 8K video capability.

  • Leica M10-P (Rangefinder Full-Frame)

 https://www.amazon.com/Leica-Digital-Rangefinder-Camera-20021/dp/B07GQ26FT2?th=1

A stealthy and refined digital rangefinder, the M10-P provides the same 24 MP full-frame sensor as the M10, but adds an almost inaudible shutter, a touchscreen, and a built-in virtual horizon.

I am having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs. I’ll mostly be shooting portraits, cityscapes, and everyday life, so image character and shooting experience matter the most, though I still value ease of use and adaptability.

So, Which one you recommend me? Any recommendation or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

First, there is no best.  Next, budget comes into play for most people buying anything.  I would advise putting together a wish list for what you want, and what you need.  Then calculate what it will cost you to get everything you need.  For example every camera made will do what you listed above. For simplicity sake, I would find my way to a photography store where you can touch many different brands, and models, of cameras so you can see which, if any, feel better to you than others.  Leica does indeed provide a very unique feel - but it's not for everyone.  It may be perfect for you, maybe not.  After looking at, and feeling, the big brands, rent a couple of models that felt good to you and discover if one, or more, or none suit your sensability from an esthetic perspective.  Then, once you've decided on a couple of makes and models, check them against your budget and make a personally-informed decision instead of hoping that someone will provide you with what would be "best" for you, which won't happen.  This approach will be far less expensive, and time consuming than buying $20,000 worth of Leicas and discovering that they aren't for you.  Happy hunting.

If money is no objection, why not buy both and see which one meets your needs? For a reasonable comparison you might consider buying an ALPA as well.

The main difference between the M and SL cameras is the focussing method, which you don't even mention in your post.

I would head out to your nearest Leica shop and discuss it with them. They might even allow you to walk around the area testing the camera.

You seem to be putting the cart before the horse, it would be a better idea to first decide how want to photograph? After that the rest, the type of camera and the lenses you would need,  can fall into place. For example you can do street, portrait etc with any type of camera, but are you a fast street shooter or the type of person that would carefully compose the image?

That's what the photographer does and most/many cameras are highly capable of being used to create such images. There is of course no 'best' because it all depends....

Any high quality camera is capable of producing 'technically" impressive images, but the photographers eye to have " The Art of Seeing" a good image is the key....
