Thinking of upgrading my M10 to the R version. I've loved the basic M10, but I recently sold a Hasselblad X1DII and miss the colours and 50mpx.

Won't be buying another Hasselblad as you can only edit in Capture One after a tedious work around.

I recently added an M10R as a backup to my M10. In theory the downsides on the R are lower battery life, more noise at very high ISO, and of course larger file sizes, The way I use them I haven't noticed anything but the file size. The R does have the super quiet shutter of the 10P (which is very nice), and the touch screen (which I ignore). Of course the R can be cropped tighter, so I tend to keep wider lenses on it. Overall I find the 10 & 10R very compatible, Another advantage on the R is the sensor has almost no "color vignetting" or Italian flag syndrome, even with my VC 21 f4 used without coding, another reason I splurged on it.

Thanks for the info. If I could afford to I'd keep the M10.

I bought it about nine months ago - although I've had many different M bodies over the years since 1990 - and I've loved using it. At the time I thought I might splurge extra and get the R version, but decided the M10 would be enough, however the R is still bugging my mind (GAS).

Or an M11? Although it still seems to have a few bug issues.

Not sure about the bug issues.  The bigger battery of the M11 is a big plus as is the internal memory of the -P. If you would appreciate the base ISO of 64 and the max shutter speed of 1/4000th then the benefits start stacking up.
