Mcdo0gal Posted August 3 Share #1 Posted August 3 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I bought a leica Q bargain condition off keh and it seems to be performing OK, has some dust on the sensor, and I know there should be some movement in the lens inner workings…. But from the moment I picked it up, it felt a little wiggly. Is this amount of movement in the inner barrel normal for a Q? I found mixed opinions on forums and Reddit. Advertisement Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Hi Mcdo0gal, Take a look here Leica Q inner lens barrel wiggle?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JohnW. Posted August 4 Share #2 Posted August 4 I have checked my Q for movement as shown in the link, there was no movement I could detect. However, you say it has been classified as in 'bargain' condition and there must be a reason for that classification. Nevertheless, if everything is working OK and you are satisfied with the results the movement should not be a problem. The alternative is to return the camera and seek one in better condition which will obviously cost more. The choice is yours.
