wda Posted August 2 Share #3 Posted August 2 Do you have a Display button? If so, cycle through the loop.

dunfr Posted August 2 Share #6 Posted August 2 It’s under TOGGLE INFO LEVELS. I assign my Center Button; hold the center button for a few seconds- scroll to Toggle Info Levels. Then you can choose from 3 screens with different info levels. One screen will get back your missing histogram etc. Hope this helps! Welcome, dear visitor! And it takes great photos too! I’m starting to understand the bits and pieces of the camera. Is there a manual available for these?

I don't own a DL8, but it is based on the earlier Lumix cameras which I do have. It seems that Leica repurposed the display button.
dunfr Posted August 2 Share #9 Posted August 2 Glad the Toggle Info Levels worked for you. It really is a very nice camera - I have some really good results from it. Regarding a manual: https://leica-camera.com/sites/default/files/pm-111411-Leica-D-Lux8_Instructions_en_1.0.pdf A bit too small to read on a smartphone (for my old eyes anyway!). Perfect on iPad or desktop.
wda Posted August 2 Share #10 Posted August 2 What instructions did Leica include in the camera box?
dunfr Posted August 2 Share #11 Posted August 2 I think it was just the Quick Start Guide. I had already downloaded the manual before purchase to see if the camera would be suitable for my needs, and as I have had the Q3 for at least a year, never opened the bits of paper in the D8 box. The pdf manual is worth a quick read if the new menu system is unfamiliar. I would also recommend Nick Rains D8 setup on YouTube - Leica Camera Australia channel. If you don’t mind watching YT; have the camera in your hand as you watch and pause video as required.

I’ll watch his video, we are going on a big road trip across Australia soon and ideally I would like to be familiar with the DL8. thank you for your tip. Sailormannn Posted August 3 Share #15 Posted August 3 Thanks for posting this. I spent an hour playing with settings and couldn’t find. Your post was a big help. Lot’s to learn.

Nick Rains at Leica Camera Australia can be the difference between reading reviews of Leica cameras, watching videos about Leica cameras, and making an informed decision to buy a Leica camera.
