ALScott Posted August 20 Author Share #42 Posted August 20 I spend a ton of time in and around Leadenhall Market as that's where my meetings are. Lot's of fun had there and it makes for good photos. Has nothing to do with Harry Potter for me. Welcome, dear visitor! Mute-on Posted August 21 Share #43 Posted August 21 @ALScott excellent photographs. A most enjoyable series. Could you identify the focal length in each for reference?

Problem is I think all shot with WATE say “16” even if they are 21.
jankap Posted August 21 Share #45 Posted August 21 (edited) A very nice series. I suppose, some are shot at 16mm. I often use the 15mm r-lens, very handy are those wides.😊 Edited August 21 by jankap
ALScott Posted August 23 Author Share #46 Posted August 23 All but the B&W with the B&W people mural were shot with the WATE. From memory it was a split between 16 and 21. On some it's easy to see what is full 16 with little crop due to distortion but in some cases I think that it adds something to the shot. The lady under the pylons was 21 and heavily cropped, and the bartender also. As you can see I am still struggling with zone focusing a bit. I have a hard time always getting everything I want in focus with that method.
David Cantor Posted September 4 Share #47 Posted September 4 Advertisement (gone after registration) AL. I used to go to The Prospect when in my late teens. After the car was parked, we were always approached by youngsters offering to look after the car for a ‘few bob’ (shillings). We always took up the offer to avoid damage by persons unknown, in other words, the youngsters. It used to have a board outside with a long list of monarchs who had ruled during The Prospect’s existence. Inside, the bar was made out of metal, zinc I think and Saturday nights it was packed and there was a guy playing a zither. David
jessica690 Posted October 28 Share #48 Posted October 28 I completely agree that extremely wide apertures can be challenging in brilliant summer light. When shooting wide open, a decent ND filter is undoubtedly helpful in maintaining control.
