Hello Leica friends.

Who knows what the π means on the APO Summicron 90mm lens?
Are they priced higher as „normal“ lenses?

Not very π looking, more like corrupted lambda, is that m lens?  Colour doesn’t look like typical Leica palette. Searching for λ or π lenses don’t give any sensible answers.

Yes, it’s real Leica

The lens type code (11885) indicates a standard chrome APO-Summicron, the serial number matches to a chrome production run in 2002. The "Red Dot Leica Pocket Book 9th Edition" does not mention a special edition with a blue marking. The shape of the sign could be anything from a modern interpretation of "Pi" to similar modern interpretations of Cyrillic "P" or "L", even stylish variants of Chinese symbols might be possible. May be it is just a custom engraving?

So ist es richtig, eventuell ist das Objektiv ziemlich selten und teuer.

Bei diesem Zeichen handelt es sich um das Zeichen des Scheich Saud Bin Mohammed Al-Thani, wie zum Beispiel bei dieser M6:

That's right, maybe the lens is quite rare and expensive. Greeting Jens This sign is the sign of Sheikh Saud Bin Mohammed Al-Thani, as for example in this M6: https://www.leitz-auction.com/de/M6-Sheikh-Al-Thani/AI-12-19994
