For the first couple of years I owned my M6, I only had it and a 35mm f2 lens. I travelled extensively and rarely felt compromised.

If you look at the greats in the Leica world, many of them used one lens almost exclusively. Many only had two bodies (often identical) because they were working in a war zone.

When we travel on bike holidays I take one M and one or two lenses. If I had more I would just have too many choices and be burdened with weight.

My favorite travel setup of all time has been:

• M10-R with 28mm Summicron
• M10M with 50mm Summilux

This gives me color wide-angle documentary images and black and white portraits. I keep the lenses on the cameras for a consistent result.

I've since sold my M10M, sadly, but will get another one someday.

If I were you, I'd put the 35mm on the M10P, the 50mm on the M10-M, and call it a day.

Off to Wellington for a few days tomorrow - taking X2D & 38V and Monochrom & 50 Summilux ASPH.  Don’t fly with my M-A due to x-raying film (which is limiting).

This is definitely my case. 15+35+50 or 90. Solves all issues from architecture, street to portrait

Nobody knows better than you. I've been there many times, but it depends on what you're photographing. Once I had an M9 and a Canon 5D with me. The Canon broke, I went into a store and bought another one. Just take the money))

Is PCH open all the way from Carmel to LA? Last I was there, you couldn’t go south of Big Sur.

No, it’s still closed. We modified our trip accordingly. 
 

FYI, I ended up taking the M10P and the M10M along w the 50 Cron and 35 Nokton but only used the P w the Nokton. 

The trip was a huge success. SF and LA are beautiful cities that I’d never been to before and will probably return to soon. Big Sur was STUNNING. It’s probably worth four or five day’s exploration alone.
