Advertisement Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Hi jaapv, Take a look here Leica SL3-S vs Leica Q3 (Comparison Stabilisation). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ravinj Posted July 25 Share #22 Posted July 25 Carrying a packet of peanuts in one hand and SL3 in the other can get pretty tiring. Question is can one shoot with just the SL3 and no lens. Or if a lens is needed what is the weight of the lens and the camera. Just the camera weight without considering lens weight and volume does not tell the full story. D-Leica Posted July 25 Author Share #23 Posted July 25 (edited) Update: Of course I would keep the weight including lens as low as possible. The last few days I had the opportunity to test the SL3-s with my favourite Sigma 24 f1.4, a Sigma 65 f2 and a Sigma 85 f1.4. And I was already positively surprised about the weight with the respective combination. Overall, it was significantly below the combination of a Sony A7RV with the 50 1.2 GM. The ergonomics of the SL3-s in combination with the Sigma lenses was very pleasant for me. Not too head-heavy and easy to hold. To the comparison of the stabilisation: In my opinion, the SL3-s was also better and clearly at an advantage in some situations. For example, indoors in low-light conditions or with the AFc, etc. The possibility to use for example a 16mm lens etc. and start directly with the 24 would be the better choice for my preferences and compositions. Not that the Q3 is bad, but for me the SL3-s fits better overall and I gladly accept the compromise with the weight, because for me the advantages outweigh. Thank you for the exchange of experience 🙏 Edited July 25 by D-Leica Ergänzung

Anyway, these are my experiences from the last few days and visits to various stores and tests.
