pgk Posted July 14 Share #1 Posted July 14 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Yesterday was in the high 20s, quite unusual for where I live. Walking home I saw this shot through the shading vegetation, looking towards a field starting to brown in the relentless sun. Its difficult to create evocative images of how a landscape felt but hopefully the colours and the impression it gives help, although it probably needs viewing in a slightly too hot room to provide some additional sensory feedback! The photo captures the atmosphere of a hot summer's day very well though if you'd asked me where it was taken I'd have guessed somewhere like Sussex rather than a Scottish island.

Thanks and I know exactly what you mean. Even with the windows open I struggled to get upstairs belw 28 degrees last weekend which is very disconcerting for where we are. There were some HOT days earlier this year too. Edited July 17 by pgk
wizard Posted July 17 Share #5 Posted July 17 Where I live (southern Bavaria) temperatures recently reached 34 to 35 degrees almost every day for a fortnight or so, so consider yourself lucky. Nice shot!
