That's amazing its an "I see Dead People" moment The Leica Look is summarized by great detail without the excessive sharpness by Leica M Lenses that have less glass because the flange distance in rangefinder’s is shorter resulting in better micro contrast …👀 Edited August 9 by Anthony MD

costa43 Posted August 9 Share #167 Posted August 9 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) She has no idea what a Noctilux is but the words ‘new’ and ‘Leica’ combined in the same sentence, trigger that look every time… Edited August 9 by costa43

She’s used to hearing me talk about potential purchases but once it’s cemented, the look changes from ‘whatever’ to one of ‘you are joking right?’ For the months to follow, I better not complain about a single thing she purchases that’s for sure. In fact, I best never complain about a single thing she ever buys! This is my experience of the Leica Look because in my opinion there is no such thing when it comes to cameras and lenses. The marketing people at Leica must have a field day with this saying.

Leica lenses made for the M system rangefinder has an advantage, the flange distance in rangefinders is shorter so the lenses don’t require more glass to compensate for a longer distance. Less glass gives better micro dynamics…👀 Edited August 9 by Anthony MD

The reason that they are smaller is that they cannot block the viewfinder too much.

jaapv Posted August 9 Share #179 Posted August 9 So am I. The M has double the value of about any camera on the market. (Except DSLRs Do they still exist?)
