Since the GBP version is made from the original M11 body, will they still produce new M11 body right now? Otherwise would they just use the old in stock M11 bodies and repaint it? Leica often produces derivative models in parallel with the original.
Advertisement Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Hi jaapv, Take a look here M11 AWG Magenta. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jox Posted July 18 Share #22 Posted July 18 I checked, and Phocus does indeed open .fff files at the values chosen on the camera. Can Capture-One do the same with the M11's DNGs? (Frankly, it's annoying to have raw views that are shifted and non-linear depending on the colorimetric environment... So, I'm planning to try Capture-One one of these days for Leica files.) jaapv Posted July 18 Share #26 Posted July 18 The answer is that Leica does not produce reworked cameras. Those are always separate lines. In fact they don't even produce things like body parts themselves, they use trusted suppliers, like for instance Uwe Weller Feintechnik does most of the metal work. Mostly they will produce several lines at the same time, special editions, bespoke work, etc. Rarely they will assemble a series from surplus parts, like at the very end of the 240 series, but they don't make a secret of such cases.

eaharman Posted July 19 Share #28 Posted July 19 I've been shooting an M11-P for 9 months and only yesterday experienced shots with a distinctive magenta cast, up till now I have not seen any exhibiting such a cast and in fact even under tricky lighting conditions I find the camera usually nails it - as in delivering what I saw at the time. I posted the offending shot on the images thread - The lighting conditions were pretty harsh, unshaded sunlight almost 90 degrees to my right as evident from the shadows which was why I took this at hip level post focussing. It's easily corrected in either PS or C1 which I use Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!
